The Facility Safety Systems (FSS) Permit application app is part of the eInspections project which complies with the Federal Government's e-gov initiative for the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), ushering enhanced information quality, availability, and process efficiencies.

The FSS Permit application will enable Industry (Operators) can use the FSS Permit External app to create and submit a facility safety system permit request, upload attachments, upload safety system data, and maintain components and safety devices. It will enable BSEE Inspectors use the FSS Permit Internal app to review requests, render a decision (approve, deny, or return), apply mitigation measures, generate reports, and maintain questions, review types, mitigations, and departure lists.
